Connecting and empowering UK HEMS Pilots
Welcome to the dedicated professional community uniting air ambulance pilots across the United Kingdom. We link our fragmented sector to champion safety, build collective knowledge, and support the pilots of today and tomorrow through advocacy, vacancy alerts, and targeted mentorship.
Our core offer
We provide a collaborative platform tailored specifically to the operational realities of helicopter emergency medical services across the UK.
Collective voice and knowledge
Join a unified network to share critical operational insights, elevate safety standards, and represent pilot interests across the UK sector regardless of your operating charity or employer.
Recruitment and vacancies
Signposting to known UK HEMS pilot vacancies, helping you navigate career progression and transition opportunities with up-to-date industry partners
Mentorship and training
Connect with experienced pilots for structured mentorship and find out more about our forthcoming baseline simulator-supported training initiative developed with specialist partners.
Strict vetting and eligibility criteria
Full membership is strictly restricted to current and former UK HEMS and Air Ambulance pilots.
We encourage aspiring pilots and other supporting partners to be involved as well, so contact us to find out how.
Every application is manually vetted to preserve confidentiality, mutual trust, and a secure environment for frank professional discussion.
Mentorship and career support
Entering or advancing within the UK HEMS environment demands high specialist capability and acute non-technical skills.
To support the pilots of tomorrow we aim to actively support pilots and provide practical guidance through recruitment, assessment stages, and operational line expectations.
Simulator training baseline
We are developing a HEMS fundamentals course which includes HEMS groundschool and simulator training.
This initiative will be accessible to all PPL, CPL and ATPL H licence holders and aims to provide fundamental mission skills, cockpit management, and decision-making practice in a controlled, realistic environment ahead of formal job application or line training.
